6 Best Halloween Pumpkins

Halloween is just around the corner and everyone is carving pumpkins. If you wan't to make something special look at the top six pumpkins.

1. Wallflowers- The trick to this 3-D effect is to carve into (but not through) the top layer with either a lemon zester, clay loop or a linoleum cutter.

2. Pumpkin Prints- Press a pretty pattern like toil or any printed image onto a squash for a detailed yet easy look.

3. Minnie Mouse- Paint half of the pumpkin black and the other half pink. Once the paint dries paint white polkadots (on the pink). Cut circles of black craft foam for the ears then finish Minnie with a pink bow in the center.

4. Butterfly Pumpkin- Paint the pumpkin any color you would like. While the paint is still wet add a bit of glitter. Once the paint is dry glue different colored butterfly's to the pumpkin.

5. Cinderella's Carriage- Paint a pumpkin any color. Add on doors (on each side) and windows. Use four small pumpkins for the wheels. Glue the wheels to the carriage (so it doesn't roll away). And now you have a Cinderella Pumpkin Carriage.

Lace Pumpkins- Get one pumpkin and glue lace any where on the pumpkin. And you're done. If you want you could hold (or tape) the lace on the pumpkin and paint over the lace. Once the paint is dry remove the lace and there's a beautiful pattern.

Party Tips/ Hacks

Hey, I was thinking well it's summer and people will be throwing parties so here are some tips on how to have an awesome party.

1. Light up balloons: Before blowing up balloons put glow sticks in them, blow them up and set them around the backyard and you have glowing balloons.

2. Keep drinks cold with frozen water balloons.

3.Cook corn on the cob in a cooler to save cooktop space. (Pour boiling water in not cold)

4.Make a big ice cube for punch. ( It melts slower and waters down the punch less)

5.When you don't have beaters make whip cream in a jar.

6.Skewer thin veggies for easier grilling.

7.For other meat and veggies, use two skewers per kebab to prevent individual pieces from rotating as you flip them on the grill.

Encourage guests to label and use the same glasses throughout the party.

4th of July, Oreo pops

I know this might sound kinda weird but you have to try this recipe! It's so fun to make and it's really good. These are perfect for a fourth of July party. Here's the recipe:

1.Melt the chocolate in the microwave, then put the chocolate in your Velata warmer to keep it the right consistency.
2. Pour the sprinkles on a plate.
3.Remove one side of the Oreo cookie and place a sucker stick in the center of the cream filling.  Put a small amount of melted chocolate in the cookie to help create a bond to the other cookie.

Place the other side Oreo cookie back on top of the cookie filling.

Let the Oreo cookie pops sit for several minutes to allow the chocolate to setup and create a bond.

Another method for creating Oreo pops is to put the sucker stick in the middle of the cookie and place the Oreo cookies in the freezer and let the freezer create the bond by freezing the filling.

Dip the Oreo pop into the melted chocolate. Make sure to cover both sides so each side is completely covered, then tap off the excess chocolate.
Place one side of the Oreo pop in the plate of sprinkles.
Place the sprinkled Oreo pop on wax paper and allow to setup for 20-30 minutes.
10. And Enjoy!
